Food and Drink

There are some good places to eat and drink in Shirenewton and the surrounding area. Chepstow and Usk also offer an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants and cater for a variety of tastes and the Chinese restaurant in Chepstow will deliver direct to your self catering cottage at Parsons Grove.

If you fancy having a barbeque or cooking an evening meal there are local Farm shops and traditional Butchers nearby where you can purchase quality produce. In addition there are Farmers Markets in Chepstow and Usk on alternate Saturdays. The Farm shops provide local produce in season and there is an excellent cheese shop in Usk.

Chepstow has a 24 hour Tesco and a small Somerfield. For larger Supermarkets, Cardiff is about 40 minutes away and Cribbs Causeway (junction 17 on the M5) is about 20 minutes away and has a large ASDA and Morrisons.

Newspapers can be purchased in Chepstow or the Texaco garage on the A48 Caerwent and Caldicot Road.
